Your
First Visit - What to Expect:
Made your appointment,
checked out the location, what happens next ?
Prior to the initial visit for
naturopathic or start of wellthwise program, it is preferred
that you complete the on-line health
assessment form about 2 days before your visit. The questionnaire
log-on details are sent out to you via email after your appointment
is confirmed. Allow 1 hour for completion of online questionnaire
please - you can view the results on-line after the form is
completed.
If you do not have email or internet
access prior to the visit, then a detailed case history is taken, usually
about ½ to ¾ hour and for this Vivien may ask many questions
about your overall health, your occupation, sports, hobbies and exercise,
diet etc. Vivien will focus on the areas of your concern, and if appropriate,
make some further checks (eg your blood pressure, pulse, range of motion,
iris analysis etc).
Then she will discuss the findings with
you and outline a recommended treatment plan which is tailor made for
you, and takes into consideration any personal restrictions, and fits
in with your lifestyle.
Confidentiality is assured
by the ATMS Code of Ethics.
For massage appointments Vivien takes
a shortened case history, again so she can work out the best therapy
for your priority problem areas, and to check there are no contra-indications
to massage.
What to bring ?
If you have any recent blood tests results, X-rays
or reports from specialists or chiropractors that you think
are relevant, please bring them along.
It is helpful if you make a list
of your present medications – writing down the strength
and dosage of the prescription from the bottles. If you take any over-the-counter
medication please list that also.
If you take supplements, and you are not sure what
you should continue to take, then it is best to bring them with you,
so vivien can check the ingredients.
Bring your questions,
any observations or notes you may have made that you want to know about.
Finally, it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing and park
the car in a 3 hour zone. (carparks timelimits - Mosman Cache closes
at 8pm, Bridgepoint at 1am and Vista Street is open 24 hours)
